Really?
Because your grandparents (aka the elder generation) are the fucking picture of perfection in both mind and body?
Were they doing just fine sucking it up when your (any) grandmother was wiping the blood from her mouth after a beating from your (any) grandfather?
Were they fine when they had affairs because of a loveless, resent-filled marraige? An empty sex life?
Were they fine when some possible grandmothers/fathers never became such because they COMMITTED SUICIDE due to mental illnesses they were told to suck up?
What about those grandmothers/fathers who went on to sexually abuse their children/grandchildren because they themselves were abused and they had no one to help them cope with it?
Fuck you, bitch.
Just because you’re rich enough to cleanse your “thetas” and rely on your plentiful staff of Scientologist helpers to get you through rough spots (which I doubt you’ve faced ANY of them as dark or as serious as those who are currently on these medications) doesn’t mean you know what the fuck you’re talking about.
Brain chemistry, receptors and inhibitors, seratonin, any of this ringing a bell inbetween your empty ears? I want you to look a rape victim or a suicidal person or a manic depressive in the eye and tell them to get over it.
And then I’ll kick you in the kidneys until you bleed.

I’m glad you approve, Kelly. I think people this delusional about mental health deserve a beat-down, and I really wish I could deliver it more than just a comment on a blog.
It’s not even a religious issue with me, it’s the snarky “I’m a celebrity, I know everything” flippancy that kills me. She’s just so fucking stupid, and it’s so obvious here that I can’t help but fume.
And I think it’s brave of you to state that about antidepressants, just putting it out there… I know MANY people who would not be alive today without them. It’s not that you’re not strong enough to deal with it, it’s actually a matter of brain chemistry, of uncontrollable elements in our bodies that we need help maintaining. There’s no muscle you could flex to gain the “strength” needed to just get over things like the bitch proposes.

Hell YES!! I am glad that someone finally said it. Now, if we can just get a ballsy news anchor to say it on air and hear what the reply would be.
Does this mean that the Travolta’s are going to just suck it up and “get over” their son’s death? It will be interesting to see how they cope with this in the coming years. I certainly wish no ill-will towards any loving family, and the Travolta’s have not been known to judge others because of a need for medication.
If it weren’t for antidepressants I KNOW I would be dead right now. There are some things that a person is just NOT strong enough to deal with on his/her own.
